NZ Secondary School Championships

What’s New for 2026

The competition format has been updated, with Championship and Cup events replacing the previous Division 1 and Division 2 structure.

Teams are encouraged to enter as follows:

• Championship – for teams aiming to compete at the level formerly known as Division 1.
• Cup – for teams aiming to compete at the level formerly known as Division 2.

• Badminton New Zealand are trialling no ranking lists for these events in 2026.

Key Dates:

• Fri 24 July – Entries close
• Fri 24 July – Team Rosters due
• Fri 10 July – Composite team application forms due to SSNZ
