Para Development Player Camp - 5-7th May 2023 (#77)

Badminton New Zealand is hosting a Para Badminton Player Development training camp from the 5th to 7th May. The training camp is open to all aspiring Para badminton athletes with a physical disability. Across the three days, the camp will focus on skill development and match-play.

 

Para Badminton Player Development Camp details

When:  Friday 5th May (1pm start) - Sunday 7th May (1pm finish)

Where: Cambridge Badminton Club (5 Maclean Street, Cambridge, Waikato)

Accommodation: Hidden Lake Hotel and Apartments (34E Lake Street, Cambridge)

 

This camp is capped at a maximum of 14 participants. The cost of the camp and accommodation is $100, or $20 without accommodation.

Held in conjunction with the Healthvision Festival of Disability Sport, Badminton New Zealand, Badminton Bay of Plenty and Parafed BOP are inviting wheelchair athletes to enter the Wheelchair Doubles event in Tauranga. The Healthvision Festival of Disability Sport is open to anybody with a physical disability, including low vision and hearing impairments and their whanau, friends and supporters. The have-a-go sessions are fully inclusive for ALL to enjoy.

Across two mornings (from 9am-12pm Saturday & Sunday), this Wheelchair Badminton doubles event will enable participants to showcase their doubles ability, or simply give their skills a try! More information on competition format and structure will be shared, once registrations have closed. This event is free of charge.

Para badminton returns to the Bay of Plenty with a regular series of para badminton skill sessions held monthly. All participants with a physical disability are invited to attend the session, free of charge with all equipment provided.
