Clothing Code

The Badminton New Zealand clothing code exists to help ensure our matches look good and professional for spectators, both in the venue, and on live stream or broadcast TV. In addition, it helps to prepare players for competing at international tournaments, where a strict clothing code and substantial fines apply.

The clothing code applies to all events, and for the selected events below, Badminton New Zealand will issue a fine of $30 (incl GST) to players for each violation of the clothing code, as reported by the event referee.
